BPO double bass Jonathan Borden and BPO percussionist Dinesh Joseph join Amusen Trio members BPO violinist Loren Silvertrust and BPO cellist Amélie Fradette along with pianist, Susan Schuman for a program featuring some of their favorite pieces from the genres of jazz, film, and world music.

On November 5 at 3:30 PM at Unity Church,1243 Delaware Ave., Buffalo,14209, The Friends of Vienna will present Tempus Fugit & Friends, featuring Michael Tumiel, clarinet; Shannon Reilly and Sophia Klin, violins; Leanne Darling, viola and Jonathan Golove, cello; in a rare performance of two masterpieces for clarinet quintet, the Clarinet Quintet in B minor, OP. 115   by Brahms and Quintet in F sharp minor for clarinet and strings, Op. 10 by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a British composer of mixed race birth who has recently enjoyed a much overdue revival.

The Tempus Fugit Trio, clarinetist Michael Tumiel, violinist Shannon Reilly and pianist Michael Serio with a program that includes  works by Luciano Berio, Igor Stavinsky, Darius Milhaud and Charles Ives. Tickets are $20; students, $5 - cash or check only! There is plenty of free parking behind the church.

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 3:30 PM, the Friends of Vienna present popular young vocalist Alex McArthur who, along with master jazz pianist George Caldwell, Professor of Piano, SUNY at Buffalo will present a program that mixes jazz, Great American Songbook and world music selections. Adult tickets $20, students, $5. The concert will be held at the Unity Church, 1243 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14209. Check or cash only! Parking is free and all of the spaces behind the church are available.
